On October 20, the Signal Awards announced its 2026 winners, and The Good-Bye took Silver in the Mental Health category for Limited Series and Specials. The show had been named a finalist back in September, and seeing it on a winners list alongside Amy Poehler's and Monica Lewinsky's podcasts is pretty remarkable for a small independent show about grief.
The Good-Bye is hosted by Anna Marie Precythe, and I write and executive produce it through Moonpie Media. Every episode is about the moment a loss splits someone's life into a before and an after. Sometimes that loss is a death, but just as often it's something else entirely, and we make room for both kinds of stories.
Season 2 premiered on July 14 and ran weekly on Tuesdays through the finale on August 18, with a bonus episode on August 26. Anna Marie's guests this season were Cole Imperi, Audrey Bellezza, Chris Cutino, Jabe Largen, Valen Keefer, and DS Moss, and I'm grateful to every one of them for being so open about some of the hardest stretches of their lives. Thank you to Anna Marie, who has a way of making guests comfortable enough to say things they might not say anywhere else, to Evan Viola for his editing and sound design, and to Anjanette Spencer for handling the show's social media.
We're working on Season 3 now, and if you haven't listened yet, you can find The Good-Bye wherever you get your podcasts.
