Edge of Reason is a limited-series podcast that brings together leading contemporary artists and thinkers to explore the ideas that shape creative practice and cultural life. Hosted by author and cultural critic Jeff Chang, the series examines the space where logic, intuition, art, and philosophy intersect—what happens, as the show puts it, when “logic ends, and creativity begins.”
Across the season, visionary artists, writers, and cultural figures engage in thoughtful conversations about themes such as perception, truth, multiplicity, power, and the creative process—revealing how art helps us understand the complexities of being human.
Season Two featured remarkable pairings of artists and thinkers, including:
Gary Simmons with dream hampton
Charles Gaines with Grace Wales Bonner
Mika Rottenberg with physicist Felix Flicker

The podcast is produced by Moonpie Media in partnership with Atlantic Re:think—The Atlantic’s creative marketing studio—and the international gallery Hauser & Wirth, which represents many of today’s most influential modern and contemporary artists.
